Để xây dựng bảng này, chúng tôi xây dựng tổng số vụ mua lại công ty được thực hiện trong thập niên trước thời điểm chuyển đổi cho đến 1998. Sau đó chúng tôi đánh giá từng vụ mua lại trên thang điểm từ -3 đến +3, dựa trên xếp hạng phân tích của chúng tôi về tài ch1nh và định tính. Trong trường hợp Upjohn, chúng tôi không thể thu thập đủ thông tin để thực hiện một cuộc phân tích cặn kẽ và vì vậy không thể cho điểm công ty.
